Yan Hai

​Yan Hai is an accomplished GxP and quality compliance professional with an M.A.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering and over 20 years of progressive experience across the biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, cannabis, and natural health products sectors. She serves as a senior QA leader and fractional quality consultant, bringing experience from senior QA consulting and management roles as well as hands-on work in R&D and quality control, enabling her to effectively bridge scientific development with compliant, scalable quality systems.

Yan Hai brings deep expertise in cGxPs, quality systems, and global regulatory compliance, with extensive experience working with FDA, Health Canada, EU, and MHRA regulatory frameworks for drugs, biologics, medical devices, and cannabis products. As a fractional Head of QA and trusted advisor, she supports early-stage through commercial organizations by interpreting evolving regulatory expectations, closing compliance gaps, leading risk-based assessments, driving inspection readiness, and implementing phase-appropriate, cost-effective quality systems. She has successfully led and supported critical scientific and quality functions across 300+ projects, delivering inspection-ready outcomes while enabling sponsors and partners to advance development efficiently and confidently.
